About the Hackathon

Build Something That Actually Matters.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei wrote about a future where AI helps eliminate disease, expand opportunity, and strengthen democracy. This hackathon is your chance to build a small piece of that future.

The UofT Claude Builder Club Spring 2026 Hackathon is part of a global event happening simultaneously at 78 universities across 12 countries. You'll have 12 hours to build an AI-powered solution that addresses a real social challenge — with free API credits, mentors, and prizes to support you.

No experience required. Whether you're a CS student who's never touched an AI API or someone with no coding background at all — if you care about using technology for good, you belong here.
